Access to NorthAviMet requires proper authorization. User authorizations are granted by the 7 NAMCon countries. NorthAviMet is operated by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) and therefore, all technical issues should be addressed to the DMI.
Users are held responsible for NorthAviMet being used exclusively in accordance with the terms of use and that login/password is not handed over to third parties. For pilot students, it is allowed that the students of the aviation colleges use the school’s login and password in connection with lessons and training.
NorthAviMet is only for users with relations to aviation, including flight planning and instructions.
In accordance with the ICAO Convention, Annex 3, chapter 9, section 9.3.4, the accessed services and the time of every individual user’s access will be electronically registered by the DMI, and the information will be retained for a period of at least 30 days from the date of issue.
In order to meet authority requirements and to ensure that data is continuously updated, it is not allowed to publish information obtained through NorthAviMet on any other platform such as websites or smartphones. Also, reselling data or using data for other than aviation-related purposes, is not permitted.
DMI will ensure that data is adequate and updated as far as possible. However, there may be times when data is missing or update can be slow due to, e.g. technical issues. Users are expected to verify data anytime. If data is not up to date, the user is kindly requested to contact the DMI.
